“The unexamined life is not worth living.” – Socrates
Therapy is a powerful tool to help you live a fully-realized life, one in which you feel fully and are able to achieve your goals. It is also a proven and effective intervention for treating mental health disorders. In our work, I’ll create a safe and nurturing space in which we can reduce your symptoms and achieve insight. Through our talk we’ll uncover negative patterns. These patterns appear in our personal relationships or professional lives, and often in both. Often they appear most prominently when a life change happens. By understanding these unhelpful patterns, we can then address them so that you can lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
I draw from a variety of experiences and trainings in my approach to the therapeutic process. Prior to entering the field of social work, I worked as a theatre actor. Feeling fully is essential to both creative work and the therapeutic process, as are intuition and risk-taking. I have especial experience working with LGBTQ-identified individuals and those pursuing graduate degrees. While I’m not originally from Minnesota, I’m happy to now call Minneapolis my home.
No matter what brings you to therapy, I’m ready to meet it head on with you. I will help you rediscover your own strengths and gently offer suggestions as to how to grow. I work with individuals and families and see ages five-and-up at Aurora.
